offerings to become my vassal

In my game I suddenly recieved tons of request to become my vassals, even those who I refuse try it again every month, I accepted some but saved then and I will try to reload the last save, before this madness began.
Every non muslim duchy and county east from Poland wanted to join my Kingdom...

Its fun to see my Kingdom growing that fast, but I want some normal game, this is just ridiculous...

OK reloading didn't help. Again everyone east of Poland wants to be my vassal (basically all of Russia offers me to become my vassals)...

Might it be because I have 3000 prestige and a respectable reputation?

EDIT: I checked the bug forums before I posted this, but I haven't seen anything (I'm not sure if its a bug)

EDIT2: if I reject they send their offer again

EDIT3: I think I found the problem, I had to reinstall CK and DV recently and I forgot to install the beta patch , which I had just done and it seemed that the problem has been solved.

You need to install the 2.1 beta patch, check the stickied thread in this forum.
This is a very bad bug in the DV release.

Might I use this thread once again and ask, what makes the AI decide to become your vassal (I think that high prestige, low badboy and good relations are needed, but is there anything else)?

I'm asking, because after I installed the beta patch there were no more request for vassalisation for some decades, but suddenly the duke of Armenia is spamming me with those vassalisation offers (I declibed them because I don't like disconnected provinces in my kingdom) and later one of the russian duchys also began asking for it, although they are nearer than Armenia (I'm the king of Croatia, and two of his vassals are bordering me directly, I have 0 badboy, 2800 prstige and we have a relation of 200) its still somehow unlogical for me, since he has one of the biggest duchys in my game - could it be the same bug as previously, or migh this request be intended

Reasons why someone will join:
1) you hold his natural liege title (either duchy or kingdom)
2) you border his realm and he feels threathened
3) you are of the same religion, and no other neighbours are
4) you are of the same dynasty or have family relations (married daughters)
5) you have good relations

Reasons why someone will not join:
1) he has claims on you
2) you do not have his natural liege title
3) you are of different religions
4) you fought a war with him some time during your lifetimes.


Armenia probably wants to join you because he is facing the Seljuk threat, and for some reason he does not like his natural liege, or that title does not exist yet. Likewise for the Russkis.
As Brittany, I picked up some Spanish vassals last night -- not because of a bug, but because they were some of the last Christians from Gibraltar to the Loire.

Armenia doesn't have a liege, and they have only one province and no vassals.
The russian is bordering me and we have great relations
It seems that my kingdom is growing faster than I expected (although I will never accept Armenia - they are to far away and in a to hopeless position)
