if i remember correctly you add the two numbers together

so for both of those traits it would be 9728

Is this a BUG or is it a a7V early ww1 tank.
And if it is a7V ww1 tank, how is the sprite address mismatched, so that this early (ww1) sprite represent tank from 1930s era.

How to fix that?

It looks like a WW1 tank.

I don't work with sprites, but I would I guess that the file is misnamed.

I'd check the sprites folder to see if there is a correct 1939 tank Sprite that just has the wrong name.

@Mundane I posted this a few weeks ago for another user. Might help get you started:

I started from scratch a few months ago and it has been a very satisfying experience. I strongly recommend starting with this event making guide. It goes over all of the basics and walks you through it step-by-step. I personally went through it several times. It takes patience, but is well worth your time if you are interested in creating mods:

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/eventmaking-guide.725734/

There is an enormous amount of helpful information in the modding questions thread. I spent a few hours and went through every page noting down useful information and learned a lot reading through past questions:

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/odds-and-sods-modding-questions.615217/

And finally, the modding documentation folder (located in Darkest Hour A HOI Game\Modding documentation) has a number of useful files, but most notably "event commands.txt". This will be your bible and you should have it open at all times when writing events. I also recommend taking a look at the existing events in Darkest Hour Full, most notably the events for major powers (UK.txt, germany.txt, USSR.txt are all very useful - these are located in Darkest Hour A HOI Game\Mods\Darkest Hour Full\db\events) which can give you an idea for how the developers wrote their events. It's often a good idea to take an existing event from one of these files and then rewrite the data to fit your needs.

Start with that event making guide and make a simple event. Once you get a small taste of success, it leaves you wanting more.

Is there a modding manual somewhere? DH modding seems to be getting more and more difficult for newbies from what I see, since the HoI2 wiki went down two weeks ago,

I agree that there is a lack of a real guide on the forums.

Lots of he old links are dead
