Odd Problem...

Hey guys, so Ive been working on a mod for the last week or so (my first mod), nothing too mad, just something to try and learn how its done. Im having issues with not being able to set my wife's title to match mine (ie to have her called de missus XXX instead of queen consort XXX) - which is not really the issue but I wanted to mention it anyway.

No the real problem happened when I started adding empires to the game. I created the Empire of Ireland, just to see how it would work. I got it going and gave it its own title and flag etc. Then I added a Norman Empire... again fine. Then I added Iberia and Itallian empires... and for some reason my flag got messed up. For no reason that I can fathom, the game refuses to load the flag I made for the Irish empire, instead it gives me the flag from Ulster (one of the duchies in Ireland) and for the life of me I cannot figure out why. I thought it was something to do with the new empires I created having an error in them, but I cant find it. Whats really weird is that everything is fine if I only add 2 new empires to the game - for example, if I have Ireland and Norman, its fine, Ireland and Iberia, fine, Iberia and Italy, fine, but any more than 2 new titles and the flag error comes racing back!

I know there are mods out there with lots of empires in them, so I'm hoping that this is just something dumb Ive done and will be easy to fix. Its really bugging me, so any help would be appreciated.

I don't see any problem with landed_titles. Check to make sure that a file called e_eirann is in /gfx/flags for your mod and that it is in *.tga format. That would be a start.

Wait, does the flag for k_ireland load properly? Also check the flags in the Duchy of Gondar. You may have added something along the line that is missing a flag and it is at that point in the list that flags would be incorrect. Everything up to the point where the error is would be correct.

Nevermind, fixed it!

Aparently if you create new titles and dont make flags for them, you cause problems... I just thought theyd take on the flag of their biggest constituant, but nope! Silly me!

Edit, to clarify, I had ONLY made a flag for e_eireann not any of the others. I just copied it out and renamed it and voila! Problem went away.

I knew it had to be something simple.

Good. You can just copy and paste a flag and rename it but every title needs a flag with its name on it.
