Hi - still playing as Russia and other nation occupied small Hordes (Kazakh, Nogai etc) declare war on me and eventually there seems no way out expect conceding defeat or starting pay tribute (bad I have to pay again to beacame defender of faith)

Invading does not work - cause somebody else already controls it.

Is there any other way to handle the situation?

You don't get WE when at war with Hordes, so unless they send armies to you, you can just continue with your other plans and ignore them. Eventually if they have been under occupation from others they might send a white peace deal, else just wait till they have been fully colonized.

Annoying - but you dont LOSE WE as well i think (at war status)

Horde v non-horde doesn't count as a war in terms of WE. You still lose 0.08WE per month while at war with a horde if you are otherwise at peace.

The real ball-ache of endless horde wars are that you cannot make vassals and -I think- cannot inherit Personal Union members.

Is there a "yesmen" cheat in EU3, I've never tried it. It works in Victoria to make nations see the light if they're being ridiculous.

Could you explain that a bit more?

In Vic 2 you can open the console and type yesmen and the AI will always say yes to anything you propose. Peace, alliances etc. I just tried it in EU3 5.1 and it came back unknown so I guess not. I don't see any equivalent on the EU3 wiki either. If there was you could use it to peace out of stupid wars where your enemy is 100% occupied by someone else, won't peace out with them or you.

You can pause game send a peace deal change nation to horde using TAG command then accept the peace and switch back to your other nation.

you can pause, make an offer, tag-change to the nation to which you made the offer, click "accept", and tag-change back to your country. That does the trick. I would save afterwards, quit and load again to make sure the game gets no "hiccups" from the tag change.
