It would be nice if CK2 allowed more oath breaking. Maybe similar to how things were done in Ck1.
"My liege, you are at war over the french crown, yet again, and want me to fulfil my feudal oath and loan you my troops ? Nah.. think we stay home on this one".
Or:
"Honourable vassal, what is his name again, I was horrified over the news that the Norsemen have attacked your holdings in Orkeney, make sure you spell it right, and I am sure you have the greatest ally there can be, God, by your side".
These sorts of oathbreaking would obviously have serious repercussions (caeos bellis and/or prestige penalties and/or such), and perhaps laws should effect the consequences, but it would be fun if that is something you have to fulfil, instead of it happening automaticly. And in some cases it would be preferable to break the feudal oath by ignoring it without having to f.e. actually rebel against the crown.
I f.e. have a little CK1 game on the side where I am playing with the idea of ignoring the kings calls to arms because of the immense cost of me going to his aid and he punishing me.
This is maybe not possible until CK3.
I also wonder if defacto oathbreaking would be possible. You can f.e. answer a call to arms by an ally and then don't do anything. Wonder the game can punish you, by f.e. looking at war contribution, for not helping enough.
