Hello all. I have been a lurker on these forums for years. I own EU and EU2 and have enjoyed both for some time, however, I was never able to get another individual interested enough to sit down and play the darn thing. I love online games but this one just doesn't seem to lend itself to that environment. Basically it is too long. No matter how good the AI may seem in this game it screams for a proper TCP/IP match.

Well there you have it. I have all of the necessary equipment and lack just one component: a real life human adversary (or even 2 or 3). Is there anyone else out there who enjoys seeing your opponent squirm when you truely stick it to them? That is the one thing computer games lack when compared to the old cardboard games of the past.

Feel free to email me if you are interested in setting up a true battle for world conquest. I am assuming you can see my email when you look at my profile.

I'm up for it (and also in Oakland). Have played all of two years of EU2 MP so far. :)

The boards email option in the profile isn't enabled.

You can use the PM option though but remember that it's limited to 20 messages and that both incoming and outgoing messages counts to that 20.

I'd love to play on line.

However I'm afraid we have a timing issue. You are like 9 hours "behind" EU if I'm correct.
That means that when it's evening/night for me (which is when I have time to play) it is morning for you.
Would that be ok with you?

You should see my e-mail

Thanks

Bye

EU players

I think this thread is good for me too

I still don't have the game, but once I will I'd love to play a campaign with "live AI" :)

I can usually play evening and night (GMT+1)
Anybody interested, please mail me so we can set up

Ciao

COUNT ME IN...I am in San Gabirel/Pasadena California. I plan on buying the game the day it reaches Best Buy.

I would love to participate in a multiplayer game.

My email address is: alexious@earthlink.net

hehe Our fancy Oakland has the highest homicide rate of all cities in the US of its size. I think its at 100 for the year now and its half the population of San Francisco.

I live in the Bay Area but only have a 56k modem(is it possible to play with 56k?). Plus once I buy the game its going to take me a while to learn my way around it since I've never played EU or EU2. But I'd really like to try MP since from what I hear the AI is not very challenging or accurate.

I am not responsible for any of these...however if I do not get the game today the crime rate might spike.

After reading some of the replies I guess I should clarify what I had in mind. I meant this TCP/IP game to be a LAN game and NOT online. Of course this would mean we would actually have to see each other. Yikes! actual contact with another human being.

So having said that are there any takers?

Maybe that is why it is only half the population of S.F.:p :D

So you want us to enter deepest darkest Oakland? Are you going to provide us with covering fire when we have to make a run for you front door?:D

PS I'll probably try a LAN game with you and some other players but I still want some time to learn how to play it first.
