Oak V.1.4.0 [9b1f] Italy can Puppet Spain through a Exploit

Description:
This issue happened during a singleplayer game while I was playing Italy.
I found out the exploit by releasing Spain (see more below)

DLC Information:
I am using all of these DLC
Content:
- Anniversary Pack
- Historical German Portraits
- Poland: United and Ready
Expansion:
- Death or Dishono(u)r
- Together for Victory

Mods:
None

Reproduction Steps:
I can confirm this is an exploit. I tried this at least five times.
1. Play as Italy
2. Once the Spanish civil war sparks send at least 2 volunteers to Nationalist Spain in order to complete the "Support Nationalist Spain" focus.
3. Help Nationalist Spain win the civil war
4. Demand the Balearic Islands (they must accept this)
5. Once they accept this, Republican Spain would have those islands as a core, release them as a puppet.
6. Wait a while (usually around a month later) and then Nationalist Spain will be annexed by your puppet.

Note: the video may seem edited but I assure you this exploit does exist - atleast it works for me.

Its funny how Nationalist Spain becomes a "Reichsprotectorate" when Italy wasn't even a Reich...

This seems to be fixed in 1.5.0, though it was not mentioned in the patch log. The the Balearic puppet now merges into Nationalist Spain. Can anyone confirm?
