That may be true. But Japan IRL did not surrender because of the atomic bombs. Indeed many of the motivators so to speak for Japanese surrender can’t be discussed on this forum, and most certainly not replicated in game.

as much as anything else, Japan wanted to not be split into a Communist north and a Capitalist south the way Korea was, which is what would have happened if they continued fighting. The nukes just gave them an extra push, once the Soviets were in Korea and South Sakhalin it was a matter of time that they would surrender unconditionally.
