So its like this. Playing a UK game. Occupied Europe, turned my attention towards Japan. USA has done absolutely nothing. I'm very very very slowly pushing them back out of Burma but there is a lot of work to be done. So I have some questions about nukes:

Is there any decision/event about Japan surrendering if it gets nuked, and if so, is it only for USA?

It was my understanding that in HOI2 nukes increased dissent by 25% and permanently destroyed everything in the province. Is this still the case?

Well in my last game US nuked Japan into oblivion, JAP was beaten from mainland China, only their home islands remained and a surrender event did fire. Dunno if i was using mods tho

In my last game the US got nukes in 1944, fired one at Germany, 3 into Japanese-Puppeted China, and a couple more into the Japanese mainland. The AI probably wouldn't invade mainland Japan by itself, so you'll have to do it. No event/decision for nuke related surrendering, but HoI2 had a rather crap Japanese surrender event in it if you took over the mainland, so I'd imagine that's been carried over (hopefully improved).

And apart from the USA, the UK AI researches all the way down the nuke tree but doesn't build reactors unless you go in their and do it yourself. Have only played the Soviets so far, so I don't know what they do about nukes.

Nukes no longer destroy everything in the province - they damage the troops, inflict some dissent, and severely knock down IC and infrastructure.

Nukes have always damaged troops? In the original HoI2 they wiped out all troops in the province hit completely, while later on this was changed to just knock their org down to zero and inflict a huge manpower loss.
