Has anyone of you experienced the effects of major nuclear weapons employment yet? Playing in 1943 myself right now and theres still some way to go till I get my first nukes ready. Aside from damaged IC and the like imho unrest in the targeted country should rise astronomically with all the refugees around, plundering, widespread panic and the like.

Refugees after a nuke attack?
Moreso than regualr attack, why?

The only RL example of this didn't trigger what you describe, why should it do so in DD?

The first RL attack was a big surprise for anyone. Just think of the mass hysteria "duck and cover" and all those films about nuclear self defense measures in the 50ies. And it was one thing to nuke 2 cities with no one to strike back, another would have been to experience the two superpowers blasting away each others cities.

Soviets got 23.85 dissent when nuking Moscow in the start of DD-scenario, and 26.something when also nuking Kuibyshev. Nukes have a big side effect.

The real life example of nuclear weapons use caused Japan to surrender, so someone there probably had a little "dissent" or at least expected to get a lot of it soon if the war would have continued.

do nuclear weapons have any effect on your victim's tc level? i mean nuking moscow shud just destroy most of su's.
It should since it damages the ic of the city. It lasts for a while because infastructure is detroyed and it will take even longer to recover. So it does have some lasting effect on TC.
Another question-Does nuking a province effect the resource production of that province? i.e. Would nuking Baku disrupt the daily production of oil?

I havn't used nukes since HOI 1 when I used them as Germany in 39 to destroy the UK navy still in port. But I'm one of those people who think nukes should have political ramifications there is no way you can unleash this power without upsetting a large part of the world

The US did it twice without causing a massive uproar.

when the USA used the atom bomb they thought it would end the war there fore saving many lives, in the game dropping 6, 10, 12 bombs on any country will not end the war sooner.

There would be political ramifications if the world wasn't tired of fighting for the past 5 years and their use didn't end the war..........

the DOOMSDAY clock would have gotten closer to midnight
