Nov 18th - I miss Spanish Galicia

Is it just me or someone deleted all the entries for the Kingdom of Spanhish Galicia in the 1066 scenario?

Aye, and now Castile are overpowered. I was playing a game last night with the new beta, and Castile and Aragon between them managed to conquer pretty much all of Iberia within 20 years.
They shouldn't be able to invade the muslims so easily, its just like a reverse situation of before. The Reconquista should take generations not a few decades.

yeah, I know I already made a proposal about it to improve the situation. But I didn't get decent feedback on my idea.

The idea was to let rebelled provinces (so where the castle has been taken by rebels) become independent if the province culture is Muslim or Pagan (so from a different faith).

In that case you are more reluctant to make peace because you'll need troops to put down rebels.

In my last game as Aragon, I had steamrolled the emirates of Sevilla and Grenada = during those wars 80% of my demesne had rebelled (with about 75% Muslim provinces) - it never hurt me - that's very silly imho. It's like the Muslim rebels take the castle and forgetting they are part of a Christian kingdom.

I don't miss Galicia...but I agree that the situation must still be balanced somewhat....the previously mentioned ideas seem interesting and plausible enough.

Galicia is not out in Nov18th patch, it is out since Oct31st patch.

Secondly, please use the Iberian thread to comment this - the current results seem to show that on average Iberia gets pounded in 2 cases out of 3 (or at least it is the goal), so quoting a singular case of Castille surviving and kicking some muslim ass as the proof of "Castille being overpowered" in a separate thread is an unproductive spam.

Galicia isn't deleted, Garcia merely got demoted to Duke of Galicia. Garcia never got the chance to rule as King of Galicia, his brother took his crown away before he had the chance, but Sancho did allow him to maintain his rule over the lands after he forced Garcia into recognizing him as his leige. Garcia being an independent king is a little silly and more than a little inaccurate.

If you want, you can make the Kingdom of Galicia claimable and give the crown to Sancho, so if you wanted to you could play as Garcia trying to regain his inheritance. Historically however, Alfonso revoked his duchy after he came to power. Garcia was just sort of weak and incompetent...

Sorry MKJ but that's not correct by three little things:

1) If Galicia was a Kingdom, if it wouldn't have been a Kingdom they would be part of Leon.

2) The 3 brothers' war didn't start till their mother Sancha de Leon died, and that was IRL months later than 1066 scenario start.

3) Garcia was imprisoned by Sancho after defeating him, in fact with Sancho's assasination he expected Alfonso to restore him, but only thing he did was to mantain him in prison.
