Nothumbria, forming Great Britain?

Can Nothumbria form a huge empire, and rival France :rofl: :rofl: ? Here is what the world (or Great Britain) looks like to start with

As you can see, wales is the vassal of England still, what you maybe can't see is i am allied to Cornwell and Britanny, I have a trade agreement and military access with England, and a royal marriage with Connahct and Scotland. For those who don't know, Wales is the sort of hazy blue, Nothumbria is the hazty green, and Cornwell is pink! (Ladies night is always on done there, thats why we allied! We got the Nothumbrian pipes and black pudding, they got ladies night and Cornish pasties, I hope...)

Bah! No army, no goverment tech till Jan 1458 and only one CoT, but at least no one uses it so I will not have any problems there, I hope...

It gets a bit better, we have a Carrak being made, and a Quite good General (3 shock, 2nd best I've ever hade, best was 4), low gold is a problem, as is inflation, so I may have to become trader for longer than a hoped,

and here is my house and my advisor's house, wh happens to be a merchant/trader, my history says I hade one king who lasted ONE day, thats right ONE day... *sighs* anyway, here is the background to Nothumbria.

O.K, if anyone has seen one of my challenges in the normal forums, it is to
Task: As Serbia, conquer Ming OR Japan and one othe asian country with 3-5 provinces.
Also acceptable: Capture half of Ming and one Asian nation with 2 or 1 province
Start date: Jan 1, 1457 (to make it easier)
Time Limit: Dec 31, 1650
Special Rules: Can only have a max of 6 provinces in all continents, may only colonilize 1 province in asia (oof course they can have as many provinces as there are in asia, in case Ming dominate it, just not take any more colonies)
Proof: Take a screen shot of ALL THE WORLD!!!
Version: 1.2 OR 1.3

So this may just be a tad easier... Any way, a summary of the British Isles and the surronding foes

England: Still most powerful, has Irish foothold and Vassal (Wales)
Scotland: Has only 2 regiments, still more than all other nations except England, allied to France and Norway so may got to war with England (problem for me) or sweden (not a problem)
Cornwell: has more provinces than the Irish, 2, this is less than mine, but they have a 1000 troops (1 regiment) so I ally to them
Irish nations: weak, easy to capture once I got my milatry up and running
Nothumbria (me): very weak, at risk from Invasion from Scotland AND England, has one Carrak on the way and a Admril, will become a trader for a bit
Britanny: weak, hopless, not at risk from Invasion? hmmm maybe not from England, but France, DEFINTLY
France: Hates everyone and will Declare war on everyone, cannot be beat, yet...

You shouldn't have made a royal marriage with Scotland, they will claim your throne and declare war on you as soon as they view you as a threat or if they have 10,000 men. This is interesting though, I'll be watching.

Whenever I play England with a royal marriage to the Scots, they claim my throne. I have never tried it with Northumberland though. I guess we'll see.

Looks fairly heavily modded as you've given us those miserable Yorkshiremen and sheep abusing Cumbrians as well .

A Geordie King called 'Algernon' is really beyond belief. All Northumbrian Kings should be called George.

Algernon was a fairly common name in the Percy family, along with Henry.

Just a shame we can't have more dynastic sub-states within England. The North was packed with 'em. Nevilles, Percys, Stanleys, so too the royal house for a time.

i use no mods, released in play mode, as well as all others and Gotland, I sold Yorkshire and Cumbria and tat to the now owning countries for 1 duact
