there has been zero news on M2 since it was first announced. are there plans for a website or some other way to get some real info on the game?

What do you mean zero news? There's been trailers and interviews with the developers thathave been posted in this forum.
Admittedly, it does seem to be quiet at the moment. But yes, as Spiderman states, there has in fact been about as much news about Majesty 2 since the original announcement as with any other game this early in development, and more than some.
Well we haven't really had any news for about a month and a half. Not really a good sign considering this game is supposed to be released next quarter. You can say that it is because the team is really putting the nose to the grindstone and getting it done, but it is important to remember they are making a game that depends on marketing and information about it being available in order to sell well. Of course they are also in Russia so that does provide an extra hurdle for getting information out there along with probably having to clear everything with paradox first.
Hopefully the next news we hear won't be that the game has been delayed to second quarter.
