I have been playing the ERE from the Alexiad start and have agnostic-cognatic primogeniture as my election law. Now I have two landed sons of my dynasty about 20 years down the track I suddenly have no dynastic heir despite both sons being alive and un-excommunicated (who both show up as pretenders). In addition to to this I have four daughters (all of whom have married matrilineally) yet still I do not have a dynastic heir according to the game have saved and reloaded a couple of times. Is this a a bug or just a mechanic I do not understand?
[edit] I assassinated a few no dynastic heirs and it seemed to revert back to my son not sure about how it happened in the first place however
