Not sure if missing something or bug *Event chain spoiler*

I did an event chain called "Shrines to the old gods" and one of the options at the end was to add ethics to my empire. I choose that option and I have not seen any new ethics. The way I understood the text was that I would get Fanatic Spiritual and Collectivist added to my base ethics, but I haven't found/seen this change anywhere. I'm not sure if i'm just missing something or it is conflicting with my Conformist trait or something else bug like. Any confirmation/clarity would be nice

I wanted those new ethics added to my pops for the perfect Militarist, Fanatic Xenophobe, Fanatic Spiritualist, Collectivist empire!!!

I had the same issue. I decided to check if there was already any mention of this out there, so I'm relieved to find this and see I'm not alone.

I'm a Fanatic Militaristic and already Collectivist Despotic Empire, chose the last option because "Hey! Free ethos, and the happiness comes in handy", absolutely nothing happened. I would be surprised if it's because of a particular traits, mine being Enduring, Natural Engineers, Sedentary and Rapid Breeders.

Anyway, I just wanted to report it, since the game is so young. I simply went back and chose what was my actual first option, but I would like to see this one work and how it would affect my gameplay.
