NOT A BUG, WAD: Unable to select a nation in a save game.

Unable to select a nation in a save game.

I'm trying to change my nation in a saved game of mine, but the nation (austria) doesn't appear in the list.

However, one of the other shields shows the hapsburg shield, but it's grayed out (and hence unselectable). What do I do?

Other majors (i.e. the other 7 countries tracked in the game) don't show up in the selection list for your country "slot". I suppose it would be possible to edit the savefile, found in "scenarios\save games". If my memory is correct, it is almost at the top of the data file.

I know what you're talking about, but what do you do? remoe the major from the list?

I'd rather switch the other major with your old one, or another country.

I don't know if the major must be added in the selectable = { } field, though.

 

[State Machine]

I usually find the bit where you see your "player name", and wipe the name out. Now the scenario should load with all countries selectable.

By the, it's working as designed, even though a little flawed.
