Tiffy about cultures

As a disclaimer, this is not meant to offend anyone.

In all the games I've played where cultures are shown IG, none have ever done good at showing the jewish culture. I wouln't mind if they didn't have the culture in the game at all. But the way they put it in just doesn't work. I was playing Vic and I noticed that in the beggining of the campaigns there's a small jewish minority in certain places. I saw this and thought a little more highly of paradox for at least putting them in the game. Then, a few years later, none. I saw this problem on Mideval: Total War too.
The problem seems to be that theres no country supporting the growth of the culture so they get wiped out pretty quickly. Could'nt you make a game mechanic that's like a phantom country that would minutely put in Jewish populations in different provinces?
Its not a big deal, but I think you need to do it right if your going to do it at all.

I'm fairly certain that the Jewish population remains there, they just aren't shown on the graph screen because they never make up a large portion of the population. Of course, this should certainly be different for areas like Poland...

I would not be afrad that jewish culture could disappear - especially because of game mechanics.
Your POPs do not simply vanish. What happens is:
1. Their population grows but their share on total population is so small that is not shown in graph. But you still can find POPs of this culture.
2. They leave because of emmigration - but this means that are found elsewhere !! (once I had colorado 1/2 jewish and 1/2 finnish..dunno why  )
3. There is a negative growth of population, therefore population is decreasing - but this affects ALL your population. And this decrease goes so slowly that during game time minority can be hardly wiped out.

And all this applies to all minor cultures in the game. If you play GC till the end, you can all of them still find surviving somewhere.

Problem is jews didn't get assimilated historically. Thus they shouldn't be assimilated in the game.
Victoria differentiates between culture and ethnicity. In many places in the Victoria era (e.g. Germany, Hungary, USA), most Jews did effectively assimilate into the dominant culture and would thus in Victoria terms gain that culture in place of Ashkenazic or Sephardic. Although it's true that in many other places with significant Jewish populations (e.g. Russia, Galicia, the entire Middle East) most Jews retained a distinctive culture.
