KIA Generals while at peace + suggestions.
Hi.
- The two only generals I managed to buy died after about 3 years of command.
It could be normal, but the game told me that they had been "Killed in combat", while the country was at peace, without revolts, and their army was just waiting in the home country.
Otherwise, some suggestions:
- When doing some management in the country/region/factory/PopGroup menus, it would be very handy to use the right button of the mouse (free in that situation) to "come up". It would much accelerate the check of the status in individual factories and come back to the previous (=upper) level.
- I find it weird that the population I convert to soldiers from workers of uncivilised countries, have the same morale or organisation than soldiers of western culture. I think there was a thread about that theme one month ago. For my part, I believe that (at that century), western soldiers were more dedicated in doing a good job (including being killed) than non-western. Same, they were fighting for 'their' country and not for any distant country/ideology/etc .
- To limit the amount of division at the end of the game, wouldn't it be possible to increase the maintenance costs of divisions ? It would force the player to scrap old weak divisions.
- Same comment as many others about the unrealistic population at the end of the game.
- Same comment about the scarcity-thread problem: with Belgium in my case, after about 5 years of existence, all my limited population concentrate their work in high-value factories (artillery, luxury clothes, luxury furnitures), buying all needed raw materials (including coal and steel if available), and even middle-range materials from the world market. I find that policy a bit too easy, but don't know how to solve it.
- Same comment about the too quick colonisation rythm: after 15 years, Africa is totally locked.
Voila voila. If you could take some of these suggestions for the next patch ...
BTW:
- to please the ones playing now with Victoria, it would be kind to offer them the patch 1.02 for Christmas.
- and to please the ones going to receive the game at Christmas itself, it would also be great to have the patch available for them... to allow them a nice safe start.
Kikine.
