Cumulating revolt risk

Didn't find this one in the bug list.

During long revolt risks, random short-time revolt risk additions do not go away when they are due.

For example, playing Timurids, there is this +8 RR for decades. If now during this time a random revoltrisk increase, for example Peasant unhapiness, (+3 rr for 6 moths), the revolt risk rises to 11.

Now, when the 6 months have passed, RR is still 11 and looks like it is going to be so. Next event pumps it up to 14, and so on. I can't believe that this would be the intended behaviour.

I have solved this by saving and editing the save, but it still pisses me off.

I have been playing EEP lately, so this might have something to do with that (can't figure out what though).

Any insights?

That's the way it is supposed to work. The game can only track one revolt risk date at a time do either the Timurids revolts were going to end just because they got the peasant event, or it was going to work this way.

Working as Designed.

The fact that revolt risk stacks and lasts as long as the longest was introduced in 1.03 [and is in the readme] since, though not optimal, it was better that what had gone before.

The reason is that the game-engine only tracks one revolt risk and duration per nation, rather a list of such pairs for each nation.
For a brief analysis of the pros and cons of the various possibilities given that the basic design (one revolt risk per nation) cannot be changed, you can check out this thread, from the last time somebody asked whether it was a bug or not.
