The refresh update of scrolling menus.

Using HOI 1.05c without any mod.

Is it only me that can't use faster game speed with clicking on certain menus?
I must use the slower game speeds to be able to safely choose from the diplomacy menu. The menu is updated of natural reasons (real-time activation and deactivation of menu option), but for some reason the scrolling positioning is also updating.

If I want to Share Research, it is very easy to choose Cancel Military Access instead. This can be very bad, as this option does not have a fail-safe (as far as I know).

The same thing goes with the splitting of stacks using the Create New Unit button and then Transfer. This is very hard to use without using lower speeds.
At higher speeds and on failures to transfer, I believe I have seen message boxes about 'unit disasters', but I must admit I can't put my thumb on this...

Is it only me? :eek:o

Please advise. I think I touched upon several things, which in hindsight was probably not so smart of me.
Should I make a new separate post now about the Cancel Military Access fail-safe and those disturbing and totaly uneccesary messages when 'empty unit shells' are destroyed? Yes, improving design is not necessarily the same thing as fixing a bug.
Is this something for the 'Wish List' then, in the other sub forum?

Regarding the problem with safely clicking on menu items regardless of speed.
I understand the problem and the workaround by doing pause - or just play in slower speed as I wrote - but I do have some problem understanding why the scrollbars in these menus has to be vertically reset. It is the same number of menu items before and after the update.
It seems to me that it is only the status of individual menu items that may change (activated/de-activated etc).

Sometimes I want time to pass while letting the 'game' do things in the background at the same time I do other things. Actually, playing Normal/Normal I almost never pause the game.
