Re: Strange Finland DOW event
The honest answer is that the deginers hoped that things like this would happen, just not very often. I think what will of happened is that the allies are in alliance with Finland and then comes the historical winter war events (which are hard coded to give the game engine a little shove in the direction of reality). There is not a lto that can be done here so I mark this not a bug. How if enough of you feel that strange games are happening too often, can can nail it down to a single cause (like the winter war events) then I can get a few changes made.

Was just playing a game as Japan where the Sovs went after Finland and the allies DOW'd the Commies. This occurred prior to the Allies ever DOW'ing Germany (they didn't go to war when Germany took Poland and Czech is still neutral).
However, a few months later, the USSR sues for peace w/ Finland; however, the allies remain at war with the Sovs. Now it's 1941 and the axis is the only faction at peace having taken Poland and no more (Czech still free). Very bizarre - should this be happening? I'm probably going to have to restart the game a a few years back as it has really screwed up the sequence of events.
