Expeditionary forces (PAN 1.03)

Hi,

Not sure if this is bug, or just bad design decision.

But anyway in our game I was playing soviets and when Germany attacked Poland I declared war on Germany. So because I wanted to keep buffer zone and knew germans weren't ready for war I wanted to fight them ...but Poland didn't want to ally with me so I just gave them probably 11 divisions as expeditionary forces.

Everything was OK as long as they were in my provinces, or in neighboring provinces where I can see. Currently I have no idea where those divisions are, and have no way of getting them back (at least don't know any). My friend was playing germans so I am quite sure Poland didn't attack and kill my divisions..

Tried looking them from division list, don't remember division names but remember army names and they weren't there anymore..

I think you should be able to see your expeditionary forces even if you would not normally see there ...and probably should get information about their surrounding as well (those are your men after all).

Also related issue. If for example UK gives expeditionary forces to Republican Spain wouldn't it make sense that those divisions would get their organizaiton to full? If you can send your men to combat shouldn't you be able to support them fully? Perhaps there should be some checks to see if you can give them at first place?

you can easily get them back: just select them and press "Return control to owner".

and a hint: if you don`t find them yust draw a large box around all the polish forces, then you will quickly find them.

Problem is that I can't see them, can't press anything on them if can't see them.

If they are there somewhere they must be in that single province I can't see. Also I am 99% sure that I tried drawing big box around polish territory but couldn't select them this way.

Hmm...

I am assuming AI doesn't disband exp.forces anymore. I looked away for while and didn't see them anymore, and I am quite sure they didn't have enough time to get into combat (they were moving in marshes when started looking at research screen).

Will have to check Polish forces if they still exist and in future give more exp.forces and keep my eye on them. If find something strange will report back.

Or one possibility that came to my mind. I was not allied with Poland and don't have movement access through them (that is why I gave them exp.forces in first place and didn't go there myself) so they don't have either -> Poland doesn't get supply on my area. So these divisions are out of supply and when they moved through marshes (from Minsk to southern Poland moving on soviet provinces) they ran out of supplies and died. Could this have happened?
