Cannot land forces

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been been posted before. May just be my stupidity but I cannot land invasion forces all the time. For Instance... As the US I can land forces on occupied islands in the pacific (with ports). But if I go to North Africa, I can't land troops at places like Oman (Italy, whom I'm at war with). Same goes with Algiers and many others, but I can land on some of the Italian homeland and Egypt... they of course have forces on them, while Oman and Algiers don't. Any ideas how I can actually land my forces?

Do these provinces have beaches?

They have ports... how does it tell you that they have beaches?

Check if you are in normal map mode... The beaches display as some kind of yellowish-brownish banana-shape thing

I was on terrain,

I think orleansville has that symbol, but couldn't land.... the first province I was able to land in was Benghazi (sp?) in North Africa... couldn't land in tripoli or anything.

You mean you landed your troops sailing your ships into port? AHA... I think I see the problem.
Just move your ships into the seazone adjacent to the province you want to land into, click your transport fleet and hit the UNLOAD TROOPS button. Then right-click into the province. There you go. It should be like that in EVERY landing. You won't be able to land troops by sailing into enemy port in 1.02

Ah of course... I should have known that from EU1 and 2. Thanks for the quick help!

So why is it I can enter some ports and not others (when they are all owned by an enemy)? Is that going to go away with 1.02?

As said... The fact that you can sail into enemy ports is a bug.
