Bitter Peace surrenders neutral nations territory

Ok, SO I am playing as Turkey and building my military planning on joining one side when it becomes clear they will win.

The Soviets and Axis go to war and the Germans and ROmanians are romping. The Soviets pull their troops from my border to try and stop them.

I think "Hey, Baku is undefended! I can waltz right in grab me some sweet, sweet oil." SO I DoW the SOviets and grab as much land as I can, which turns out to be a lot.

Then Stalingrad falls and the Soviets accept the bitter peace and surrender my hard won oilfield to the Germans! MY oil. I conquered it fair and square. My troops bled for that oil. Okay, they sweat while I had them run there, but the principal is the same.

There has to be a better way to do the Bitter Peace event. Perhaps have it give Germany territorial claims on all the provinces then have the Soviets acknowledge German territorial demands. This would leave territory for the minor Axis nations and any neutrals who jump in.

Germany could then claim territory from its minor allies, or choose to let them keep their gains.

Germany can also pursue its claims on neutral nations or choose to ignore them.
