Bad education

I'm running 1.02, playing Denmark and reached 1220ies.
After upgrading to 1.02 my very talented kids always get the worst education while my crummy kids gets the good ones. It happens EVERY time and i've been observing for about 70 years - is this a bug or WAD?
At least I think talented kids should have better odds of getting better edu. than crummy ones.

Well it happens. Get more kids -thats what I do.
Or just play elective law, in which case after 70 years you should have about 100 relatives to choose from. One must have stats you like

I am tho annoyed by Bastards ALWAYS having medium stats. Please put some randomness into those bastards boys!

Get my education mod - the children's stats influence their education level, unlike the Paradox events. (Link in sig.)
