1.02 CTD @ 05:00 May 2 1939

Ok here is a strange one. I'm playing the Swiss. I've annexed Czechoslovakia, Austria, Hungry, Romania, Yugoslavia, Greece and Turkey so far. My problem now is when then clock is just about to hit 05:00 May 2 1939 the game CTDs. Anybody know what gives here? I even tried a previous save and it has no problem getting past that time. Is there some event that is supposed to happen at that time or something? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The same problem with my old (version 1.01) save game, when it hits 17:00 June 18th 1944......

When I try save it in 1.02 after load (original from 1.01) then CTD again and when I compare files the new one is truncated (history is empty and maybe somenthing more).

i have 2 games from 1.01 do the same things,1 with germany crashes july 71941, and on italy crashes feb17 1943. neither of them is from the puppet bug, but i think it might be something im researching . my german game i was way ahead on research, my italian game i sytarted research late. i have to go check to see if something in the res que was ready to finish then. hopefully i will see a connection. but it might be moot now that 1.02 is out.

Are you all still playing 1.01? Also loading a savegame from 1.01 into 1.02 is not adviced. Start a new game instead

I do that but anyway i want finish my old games
If you play Czechoslovakia and in year 1944 you are leader of Free World and all Axis countries fer you....nice history for my poor country in Central Europe


I don't like starting over and over again, when new patch appear I should start new game again and with patch 1.04 too?

yeah, im still using 1.01 cuz i was trying to finish these before installing the patch. i looked in the save file, and couldnt find a research that ended on the ctd date. now im stumped. there is so much going on in each game, i dont know where else to look. oh well, might be time to patch it!

That explains all... The fixes are only completely applied after a fresh start. Sorry it is like that and is actually VERY normal. Not a bug. Closed
