As of right now, Norway starts the game in a very precarious situation, bordering some of the biggest military powerhouses in the game, and will soon be annexed by Denmark. One bright spot in an otherwise dark future for Norway is its exellent National Ideas (NI). The NI The Call of Our Forefathers lets Norway recruit explorers and conquistadors without selecting Colonial Ideas, letting Norway save some much needed monarch points. Here is where the problem lies:
The only way to have a chance to spawn the Colonialism Institution is to pick Colonial ideas, so if Norway wants a chance at the institution, she has to pick the idea set her NI's were specifically designed to avoid. So this is my official petition to please make the Institution also check for The Call of Our Forefathers when spawning. The next update is meant to give balance changes and QoL updates so this is the perfect time to make this small, yet meaningful change!
