The ships and their captains don't care about politics either way.- Norway can remain neutral
They do shipping for the side that pays, has stuff in need of shipping and has the lowest risk to work for.
No matter how you look at it that will pretty much always be the Allies in any semi-historical or plausible development.
Do you think that the Allies would allow these ships to go through their total blockade of Germany so that they can be used later to invade them? Probably not?- Germany can secure large portions of the fleet (if Norway joins Axis for example)
They would be captured and used by the Allies anyways...
- Britain (in most cases) will secure large fleets of convoys to help their war effort.
Yeah basically that is what I'm saying here. It doesn't really matter. because the allies get to use the ships regardless.
So to summarize the possible results here:
- Allies get to use the ships if Norway remains neutral
- Allies get to capture and use the ships if Norway joins the Axis
- Allies get to use the ships if Norway falls and or joins the Allies ( historical outcome )
