norton see aodgame.exe1.06 as a threat but not 1.05

I downloaded 106 from paradox. I extracted it to the aod folder. When I tried to launch it there was a four or five second pause, after which my Norton AV reported that it had quarantined aodgame.exe as a dangerous file. Anyone else see this? Any ideas?

Tell Norton exclude the exe or your AoD folder from the permanent hard drive scan.

I used Norton before was much better off with Norman antivirus. Even so saving takes more time because of my Norman antvivirus program I think.

could not agree more... Norton is simply garbage software

If you must use anti-virus use Microsoft Security Essentials... or possibly avast (but surprisingly I've found the MS AV to be the best and least intrusive)

The exe was checked with virustotal.com - so tested with 40 different anti virus engines... no virus found.

Uh, I had Norton and was attacked with viruses aplenty - it didn't work well and it was very heavy on my computing resources. I got bitdefender and it only failed me 3 times in 10+ years.

ugh, I hate Bitdefender, it never worked for my computer.
Avast is better.
