It was multiplayer, and he might have believed for good reason that Finland wouldn't invade. But regardless of whether the paths make sense, what matters is what happened, and I was very impressed that he could drop a stack of Divs between the advancing Finns and Moscow and the AI successfully contained the advance, then started to break them down.
