North American provinces are ugly - This means you, Delaware!

Previewing the map on the demo, I've noticed a few things I don't like.

One of those things is Delaware.

Now, of course there are many reasons to dislike the real-life Delaware, which are far too numerous and ill-conceived to mention now, I'm talking about the province. It's probably one of the first provinces a European nation will encounter in EU, and it looks like this:

You may notice that this province is in three parts. For some reason, Delaware has decided to conquer parts of New Jersey and Maryland. While I can accept giving it the entirety of the Delmarva peninsula, these unattached bits are unnecessary and I think quite ugly. I also take objection to the neighboring provinces of Lenape and Unami, which are both rather large. They might work for native nations, but it will make colonization ugly and cumbersome. Massachusetts is also very large, which befits the Massachusetts colony, but doesn't work so well if you are planning on being ahistorical.

Another big problem, Seneca. It looks like, for some reason, the capital of this province is supposed to be Welland or maybe Smithville, Ontario, but I assume it's supposed to be Niagara Falls. The only problem is, during a very interesting part of world history in the region, this province contains both sides of a well-established and fought-over border between the US and Canada. I'd like to see this province lose its territory on the westward side of the St. Lawrence, and maybe put the capital somewhere closer to Seneca Falls? This shouldn't have any gameplay changes whatsoever, but it would looks a lot more visually appealing when we look at the later historical map.

I've long favored eliminating Delaware. 'Tis nothing but a tax on the rest of the union. Between the outrageous tolls on I-95, the sales tax holidays to steal shoppers from neighboring states, and the monopoly on corporate registrations, Delware takes far more than it gives back. And it looks silly on the map.

In all fairness, the boundaries of the U.S. states were just the boundaries of the British colonies that preceded them. It's the British colonial charters, not the U.S. government, that placed the borders where they did. It's all actually quite historical.

*Sob* you were once such a pretty province, so perfectly placed as a base of American expansion... and now... now you are RUINED! That hideous shape is just... just... Blergh.

Of course, I no longer have any desire to make a colonial empire anyway... they completely and utterly destroyed colonisation for me... When you zoom out it doesn't say "English North America" for example. I used to love trying to blob across the entirety of the Americas to get "nation-ish America" in massive letters across them. Now It will simply be the nation's name?! BAH!

Coincidentally Delaware is indeed ugly, lets not go to Delaware, 'tis a silly place.

The Provinces should be based off the Geography of the region, as that would reflect colonization better.

Look, it's obvious all this Delaware love is the result of undue pressure from Joe Biden. Now he's using his influence to help his beloved Delaware take over neighboring states. It's outrageous and it needs to be stopped.

I have to agree with the OP regarding the province of Delaware. The river on the left side of the peninsula should be the border. It seems like a more logical end, rather than giving the province a random foothold across the bay.

Yeah I really think a lot of provinces (especially in the New World) would look better if natural boundaries such as rivers marked the border.

Yes, the southeast US looks decent; and I'm not so worried about the provinces themselves being historical or reflecting real-world history as I am that you could make your country look at least slightly historical. I'm not so sure I'll notice if one squiggle is a little bigger than another squiggle or vice-versa, but if countries start crossing over seas and rivers when they shouldn't, then I get miffed.
