North American patch for Vicky, any word yet?

NA Update

I got the NA version of Vickie this morning. When will the NA update be out, would like to start play with the update.

Really, who said that? In the past, patches for a different release version of the game have never worked....

It may work as I asked SFI to do some fixes in their installer. If they did it should most likely work! i still haven't seen or tried their installer so I can't tell...

Just a quickie ... got the game today in the US and installed the 1.01 patch from the paradox website without problems. Played for about 30 minutes with no hicups that I noticed.

SF patch for Vicky, any word yet?

just asking if anyone knows when it will be available....its not on the SF website yet.

Use the one on the paradox website, it installs on the NA version without problems. Its the same thing, SF just like to do their own installer, makes them feel important I guess

weird.....wonder why Johan(i think it was Johan....maybe Patric?lol) said that this was only for the PAN vision version and also a couple of other versions.....not the US version?

Apparently it lies not within Paradox's competence what exactly the distributors do with the patch files they get. In this case, Strategy First seem to not have modified their installer, so the SF and PAN sets of files are identical.

This might be a silly question, but are there any language issues or is the Scandanavian version released in English?

dunno if it works with the SF version

but from past knowledge (and because it was said enough by Paradox) we know that the Skandi version and the Ami version are fully in english. They're identical except where the publisher made changes, iirc.

The Euro patch works great

Installed the Euro Patch without a hitch.

To clarify things about the different patches (ours and SFI's).

Strategy First always wants to make their own installer so they can configure the game, shortcuts etc.

This also means that they use different settings for the installer than we do and therefore our patches can't find the SFI installed game.

This time James DeVito at SFI asked us if we wanted any special settings and they got the settings needed for our patches to work with their installer. It seems that James fixed the settings needed and now all English versions of the game can use the same patch. Thanks James!

I need to get the SFI version of Victoria before I know exactly how things are configured and be able to make pattches in the future.
