I play multiple game in Historic mode and 1936 startdate. I think 5 game I play recent. Every time Italy conquer North Africa and Cairo and the Levant. And Italy/German have 20 Division or so in North Africa. This is wrong. That is way too many Division in North Africa. It not even possible to put that many Division in North Africa in real life. And Italy/German should lose in North Africa most of time. Not win.
It is possible that the next DLC is going to take another look at logistics. We do know that logistics is on the developers list of things they want to improve. At this time I have not heard any hints on what the developers have in mind, though.

The logistic system is the cause of this. And the base game divisions don't have enough units and support units. Even so, it works, since it is the same for both sides.
And that is a interesting statement. I prefer to think in terms of the North African campaign conditions being historical, with the players/AI actions/reactions to them determining the outcome.
Not sure who you're playing as but in vanilla it's easy to get Italy out of Africa as Britain. I usually send 4 or 5 troops in a fallback line in Southern Egypt to make sure Italy doesn't come through in the South. I put a tank division or two in a province bordering the sea and just do small encirclements along the no-go zone in Africa.
