Just bought this game, and am loving the look of it.. but am totally disappointed in one thing - the camera angles. Basically, it seems to be able to go from 'right above', to as low as about 40°.

I could have sworn I read somewhere that you could do some type of walk through from a civilians point of view... or better yet, is there any way to have total camera control on this?

Thanks for any responses.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

Tried to follow the instal instructions, and ran into a hiccup.

I bought the game using Steam. And when I go to Applications, there doesn't seem to be the usual folders associated with the game. Any ideas?

To install a mod on steam version for Mac OSx:
Open: ../Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/cities in motion/Cities In Motion.app/Contents/MacOS/
create a folder "addons" and copy the file there.

Hmmm... I wonder if they've purposely shifted it around in the new OS.

Here are some screens of the designated areas... and I'm not seeing the folders that should be there.

BTW, thanks for the replies, giladteller. They are very much appreciated.

Ok, here's some help I got from Steam

For Mac Users:

Please exit Steam and go to the folder Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Steam

Delete all of the files in this folder except for SteamApps.

Restart your computer.

Launch Steam and re-test the issue.

Note: This process will not affect your currently installed games.

Note: If you are using Lion please do the following to enable your Library folder:

1. Open Terminal
2. Type chflags nohidden ~/Library
3. Close Terminal

You should see the Library folder available through the Go menu on the menu bar while holding down the option key.

So, all looks well in the files section now. I've got the addons>ultimateCamera.gs

But in the game, I'm not seeing any difference in camera range. I wonder, is there something else that needs to be done to enable this add-on?

Open the ultimateCamera menu (top left corner, round camera lens bottun). You will see there all the settings you need. If the bottun isn't there - you didn't install it properly.

Nope, no camera menu.

But I now have it working. One of the biggest problems is the varying displaying/non displaying of folders.

So, here goes...

Step 1

Please exit Steam and go to the folder Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Steam

Delete all of the files in this folder except for SteamApps.

Restart your computer.

Launch Steam and re-test the issue.

Note: This process will not affect your currently installed games.

Note: If you are using Lion please do the following to enable your Library folder:

1. Open Terminal
2. Type chflags nohidden ~/Library
3. Close Terminal

You should see the Library folder available through the Go menu on the menu bar while holding down the option key.

Step 2

./Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/cities in motion/Cities In Motion.app/Contents/MacOS/
create a folder "addons" and copy the file there.

That seems to have done the trick. Thanks for all the help.
