It was pretty simple in eu4 or ck3, you would just go into the same province with your ally and click the attachment button. But i think HOI4 isn't that simple so there is no more attaching armies with your allies in this game. I only follow my allies and join them in battle. But it's hard to follow them manually all the time,. Isn't there an easier way ?

You can send armies as expeditionary force, I suppose - then AI will control those divisions - but nothing stops AI from returning those any given moment.

If you assign your armies to a frontline in the same area then they will move as the front line moves & take part in attacks along the frontline. (you just need the front line, you don't need to plan an offence nor activate it)

The frontline will spread and you wont exactly follow the allied forces but if you want a general 'go that way & help' it should be sufficient.
