Er, rather ursurped it, but i definitely inherited its problems.

All i know so far is there's a bunch of little wars going on, i have a ton of territory to manage now, my old council carried through but is grouchy and could be replaced with much better people from across the empire, and my own duchy automagically changed to primogeniture from elective (even though the HRE is also elective) and i can't change that back any more.

Any tips on how to rule this soup, and make it awesome and orderly, especially with the added challenges (and controls) of the HIP mod, i.e., i can't create kingdoms?
What do i do with the duchies of my old domain (i am carinthia and rule a few others in the area, i.e. austria, styria, carniola?)
What are other longterm goals for the HRE you all play?

WHAT DO

Increase crown authority, try and get to primogeniture asap. Your ultimate goal is to have an imperial administration. Curb stomp any vassal larger than 2 duchies to keep them manageable. I also find usurping the tasty Bohemian counties profitable, as Prague is an amazing capital province and the rest have plenty of holding slots. Once you've gained a good amount of personal holdings your vassals will have a much harder time gaining enough troops to enforce faction demands.

Pretty much what you would do after you seize any reasonably sized realm.
