I'm playing as the Gortyna in Crete, and have Tarrha as my vassal.
As I am playing the game, my vassal keeps getting war declared on by Egypt, with no CB.

The first time I got this, I merely reloaded my game, thinking it was a bug in the AI, and at first it seemed to work.
Until a year later when Egypt does it again. So I reload, and am able to play for some time again until Egypt declares war again.

At this point I hoped to just keep reloading until I have integrated my vassal, but now I can not go past a month without Egypt declaring war on my vassal.

I had one too, although not as bad. Was playing as a tribe in Britain when the tribe across the channel declared a superiority war. Only trouble is from what I could see they had no ships with which to land troops. So I don't know how they expected to attack me. Other than swim? Peaced out after waiting however long it took for it to get to a white peace. Trouble is in that time I couldn't make alliances because I was at war. Bad decision making by the AI.

If AI declares a war like that and don't invade at all (due to lacking ships or w/e), please post save in tech support forum if you have one. They might want Crete, after all.

I know there are some bugs with naval behaviors fixed in next patch but I would like to verify that against player saves.

Alright, will try to find save and post it in the tech support forum. Thanks for the response!

Weird. What would Egypt want in Crete? Do you know if any streamer has found the same in prerelease?
While Crete wouldn't be my first target as Egypt (Cyrenaica has that honour), there's nothing inherently wrong with Egypt attacking a Cretan power - if it has got ships and prosecutes the war. Tarrha is weak and protected by a weakling at start of the game and it is a good stepping stone for Egypt from which to fight the rest of the Hellenic world, unlike the island of Cyprus that is under Phrygian protection.

The most likely reason for Egypt attacking both before and after reload would be that Egypt had fabricated a claim on Tarrha and then chose to prosecute it. If Egypt attacks Tarrha again after the reload without a claim, it looks more suspicious. Anyway, all saves that can help pinpoint wonky AI behaviour are welcomed by Chaingun.

EDIT: I'm a silly bugger. OP already stated it was a no CB war.

Hello there. Do you realize how many people plan on refunding pending the state of said next patch? We're not "playing the game" on this like we have on EU4.

Negative, like stated: a no-CB war, and no claims.

Also played in Crete and got declared on by either Phrygia or Egypt within about the first 3 years every time, also no cb. Seems like the AI goes out of its way to be aggressive towards the player specifically because when I jumped over to play Epirus Crete hadn't been touched after 20 years.
