Non-working Achievements? Post here!

Hello good folks,

As it would seem that people have problems with achievements not firing when the conditions are supposed to be met, I felt that it would be good to have a single thread here in the Bug Reports forum for you all to post them in. That way the QA team will have a better overview on which ones you seem to have issues with, as the plan is to re-test them in the soon to be future

So, in other words, if you have any issues with achievements, instead of starting a new thread about it, add them into this thread instead, which will help us immensely!

I can vouch myself that the count to king achivement is not working correctly as it does not care if you go to count to duke and then your character dies and then after that you get the king title. Also I think currently that achivement doesn't take into account the temporary titles so count might get this achivement by just revolting against his king overlord.

I've found that my achievement bugs only happen on local saves — I can only presume that internet momentarily dropping is long enough for the Ironman save to be completely invalid for achievements. Cloud saves work perfectly for achievements for me, even if they have other issues (like corrupting after a hundred hours of game play, thirty years before the achievement ...).

The biggest issue IMHO isn't so much whether the achievement conditions are being met, but whether one's Ironman games are being rendered un-achieveable due to some brief lapse in internet connectivity. Especially since there is no easy way for games saved locally to display whether or not they still unlock achievements. This can be especially frustrating for longer-term achievements (especially the ones that require an 867 or 1066 start and may take weeks or months to play through, especially given the longer processing times for Ironman games after Rajas).

I can also vouch for this error being present. I got "It's Good to Be the King" by revolting against my liege, and once I got my first emperor title a while later, I got "It's Better to Be the Emperor," even though I had went from count to emperor over two characters rather than one.

the "is my ironman savegame still achievement applicable" is indeed something we all want and would be very welcomed.

I just became samrat chakravin by starting as abbasids, taking india, converting to jain. Then i worked on the red sea resort and What schism? Mecca and rome were easily converted, then i waited at speed 5 on constaninople, and suddnly the achievement fired, while i got the message "population in bost (or something, i clicked it way) converted". Playing on latest official patch

I got the "It's good to be the king" achivment, even though I moved from Raja to Maharaja with the particular character. His father had been a Thakur though, but the achivment text specifies that you have to go from count to king with the same character.

Mr.Nibbles i found a bug by playing as the abbasid caliph. At the end of a life with lust and depravity a decadence revolt surprisingly occured!
I crushed the decadence revolt and did not get the "decadent warrior" achievement but the "black widow" achievement...
The caliph was indeed decadent but no transsexual.

EDIT : i just got the achievement, one day later! but still have the black widow achievement.

Maybe it would be really the best solution to get rid of coupling between ironman and achievements...

They just need to fix the problem with the lose connection to internet and your save doesn't give you achivements anymore. I'm basicly against making the achivements to be available in non-ironman game as they would be easilly cheated in few seconds by anyone who wants all of them. Even the most hardest achivement would be a joke without ironman.

What about save editing as that can be done without console. So thats not a way to prevent cheating. Also what about the people who accidentally press the console button when for example trying to press esc is it ok that their game is now not able to get the achivements. No it isn't. In my opinion the way it is now is the only way to prevent cheaters they just need to fix the bug.

And what about the people who lose their connection? Anyway if this will be solved somehow (for example let you know and give you opportunity stop/quit the game without losing ability of getting achievements), I'm ok with ironman.
