So, this is my first game as a nomad, i started as ruler of Magyar, Jëno, in Charlemagne timeline. The first 10 years was a bit hard but once i got past that and started snowballing it just went out of hand.

Im now in year 951 and i have 10 kingdom titles and soon 3 empires. Im playing on normal difficulty and no mods and im zoroastrian. Apart from muslim rebels i havent been attacked in over 100years.

Ive played the game since it came out but this is deffinately the easiest time ive had. I have so many troops my vassals cant beat even if all the 8 other clans go against me. Anyone else experienced the same or have i just been super lucky? I cant point my finger at exactly what is OP but something deffinetely is, perhaps too many troops too easily considering they are strong as hell, especially versus the tribal slavic region. Its fun but just seems too easy.

After some point, yes you become WAY TOO POWERFUL. Thats why i'd love to turtle but turtling & nomads arent going well beacuse of all of that land desires/population stuff. Well.. Not big as you are but i also have alot of land now its just easy. I feel like nomad's need some tweak or there should be something bad about them so player should think about settling down or so.

Yea, i even converted to zoroastrianism just to increase the difficulty a bit, if i went catholic or ortodox it would been even easier. I havent tried settling yet but i guess if i do it will all blow up in chaos so im probably better off not.

Well ERE is still quite powerful it seems. Attack it for a challenge.

Once im done with Persia and restored the High Priesthood i gonna take Byzantium, i just finished crushing the abbasids. I guess ill keep going and see how much im able to take, and then settle at the end just for the lulz to see how it all blows up in my face.

If you want to settle it's best when you do invasion. Occupy all lands that you want to settle. and if you can it is better to invade multiple kingdoms at once and carve yourself a feudal/iqta kingdom with pretty borders.

I assume you pillaged everything and dont have any feudal vassals.

My own clan holds 46 counties, ive pillaged the county capitals but in 50% of them i leave the other holdings as my vassals (which is why i now have 63+ income monthly). What happens to the empy county capitals if i choose to settle as feudal in Constantinopel? Do they become tribal or ? And what happens to the other clans?

Strongest clan becomes new Khagan and other clan vassals will be his vassal Khan's.
Ah i see.

Small update: Took empire of Persia, restored the priesthood and just few days later he called a great holy war on byzantium, Immortals won(i didnt join), so now Constantinopel and entire Greece is theirs lol.

It's like this whenever the devs introduce new gameplay mechanics. Muslims, Republics, Pagans have all had their day as the OP way to play. Hopefully Nomads don't get so smited by the Nerf Bat that they become irrelevant like Republics.

Some things should be changed but please, pretty please paradox: Nomads are fine (when not a 2k+ hour player plays them!)

The only thing you'll should do is, give them untill military organisation lvl 5 a -75% combat penalty when not fighting in steppe/desert/plains and maybe hills.
Oh and include nephew's and 1st grade cousins in the succession.

Everything else is just fucking streamlining...

All empires and blobs are OP in this game, it seems that nomad ones just more so. I'd really like this DLC to work out, maybe @FacelessOne above has it right - nerf nomad combat factors when NOT in plains.

IRL there is less than no way that the above empire would last more than 30 seconds - how the hell would tribute get from the Persian gulf to central Europe ? There is obviously some key mechanic not working or not present to stop this from happening..

Well, the mongol empire worked, well as long as Ghengis was alife. Firstly because of fear of him and secoundly: The Silk Road. But you're right, this kind of empire would't work. :)

How does a feudal ruler successfully campaign against a nomadic realm? I took all the land in the de-jure Kingdom of Khotan in the Tarim Basin and now the Uyghurs have effectively boxed me in. I can't do jack to them other than ally with them, or else they will march into my realm with 10000+ cavalry whereas I can only levy 8000 of the standard feudal mix.

What is the logic behind "negative combat modifiers" for nomads not being in stepped etc? And cmon 75%? what the hell are you want to see horse troops gets beaten by nerfed LI in mountains? Skirmish battles can happen in any terrain, do battles start with melee phase in places which is not plains?
