Has anyone encountered this event yet?

30 years into my game, a nomad fleet pays me a visit.

After a short while they proposed me to buy 15 of their newly produced ships explaining they have too many and they need to have their fleet at a certain amount to keep it manageable (or something of that sort).

I had to trade 2 of my rare resources to get enough money on time, you have 5 years to answer them back. After the deal is done, they promised the ships would arrive in 15 months. At that point I though they were scamming me, but they did arrive on time.

Luckily, I could stabilised my energy production before running out!

Closer look at the ships:

In hindsight, I should've taken screenshots of the full conversion, but I did not expect the trade to be so ridiculously lucrative!

Anyway, it basically won me my game, GG.

I got that event in a multiplayer game I'm in! It spawned when I had only like 20 corvettes, level 2 weapons, level 1 shields, and hadn't even unlocked destroyers yet. Luckily I had the energy and an admiral reducing upkeep costs to escape maintenance bankruptcy and it totally made my game. The contacts menu now lists everyone I know as Inferior or Pathetic. Crazy powerful if not game-breaking. Paradox should probably tone this event down or simply make it spawn later so it doesn't up your firepower by an order of magnitude. No single random event should be that crazy. Still, absolutely loving it in my game. My friends I'm playing with, not so much...
