To get this Achievement do I need to Start somewhere in the Steppe?

I started as Khiva and changed my capital to a Steppe region.

Thanks for advice.

(Also can you start in Steppe and culture shift?)

I should also mention my main Character was castrated by the Byzantines before becoming ruler...Might that have an effect?

You have to be nomadic and you have to be Turkish.

I would assume that starting nomad as another culture and converting to turkish before taking Constantinople would trigger it.

Yes there are ways to culture shift as a nomad, take a concubine have her or some other turkish person educate the children with heritage focus.

The achievement mentions nothing of private parts. Beyond the usual succession/gameplay requirements being a eunuch won't affect it. Do you have an heir? And will he or she stay alive because you can't make another sort of thing.

Heirs of another culture are disqualified as a nomad, so as far as I know you cannot change culture as a nomad. The decision from RoI is also unavailable.

My heir is his brother (A genius brilliant strategist, still in possession of his Gonads).

I might wait it out and see if it triggers upon current rulers death.

Asking as I cannot check the save yet; have you pillaged all the holdings in Constantinople to the ground?

Nope. I am in control through the event, all holdings still there.

With my new ruler achievement is not firing still.

Can I ask an admin to move this to the bug report forum please.

Or if anyone has any advice.

Only the CM, ToG and Stamford Bridge bookmarks allow achievements. You can only get them if you start from those, so starting from the Alexiad disables them.

Where do you get this information? This is wrong I my opinion. I got 99% of the achievements and only the a few require a specific start date

Well, it works that way in EU4 too. Still, he'd be better off checking the files for more accurate info.

I just wanted to point out that there is no start date limitation. So the OP can start when ever he want (as long there are turkic nomads around).
