I am really confused as why this isn't available for the Hungarians. If you look at their tank program they had some pretty interesting designs and to some extent were decently effective in the war. So maybe we can get a bit uniqueness in the design attribute for the Hungarians so they can do a bit more then just be a plane maker?

Skoda works: was a Czech company focused on medium tanks like the Turan. This should be the base designer as they were working on prototypes before the germans annexed Czechoslovakia. Maybe the bonuses of it are initially low but when the germans erect the first vienna award the buff goes up a bit considering now you have more support of the Czech industry at your back?

Manfred Weiss works: a local Hungarian manufacturer that made and designed several types of vehicles like Assault guns, AA vehicles and even later war medium/heavy designs but those were just prototypes. This maybe should come out via focus through the "assault gun" focus so not only are you able to make more but your also to make relatively more quality products since Hungary does have a limited industry.

Just an idea, maybe the meta will always be plane Hungary but id like to see more combined arms options for it.

I am wondering if the Dev has problem finding the right tank designer for Hungary why not just give she the generic tank designer likes the minor nation?

I added Weisz Manfréd and MAVAG as Hungarian tank designers in one of my mods. But yeah, lazy design on PDX's part for Hungary, not only for the design companies but also for their generals.

Also Skoda didn't design any Hungarian tanks, Weisz Manfréd designed the Turán (which was based on a Skoda design, but still different!). For a second Hungarian manufacturer, MAVAG would be better since it redesigned the Swedish L60 and L62 into the Toldi and Nimród respectively. IIRC it also designed the Zrinyi II assault gun.

Very certain it was Skoda. According to wikipedia (which i get isn't the most reliable site but it does come thru form time to time). Said they made the prototypes but the idea was obviously generated by Hungarian designers. Either way the point is made Hungary did make their own tanks and had their own experts when designing them thus they should be provided a unique designer company instead of the generic one.

Strangely enough Hungary and italy both lack something (one tank designer other ship designer) while the Manchurians, china and the warlords have both.... and spares. I mean wat.

Oh yes, it is well known among actually knowledgeable in WWII history that HOIIV really dropped the ball on DoD, and especially with Hungary and Yugoslavia.

They made a new province for Austria-Hungary so it could get back it's 1914 borders... But left out all the territorial desires of Romania and Hungary (such as Greater Romania's greatest extent being to the Tisa river).

Then they give the second most prolific tank builder of the war no tank designer, but the landlocked country a naval designer, but Yugoslavia who has the whole Adriatic only gets the one..

Not to mention turning Carol II into a forced "party king" meme... sigh. Oh well, at least it's relatively simple to mod some tank designers in.

Speaking of, I probably should give Yugoslavia one too since they apparently made some modifications of tanks just after WW2.

Ya i think they snagged some french SOMUA tank and modified it. Tho it didn't get used and there is not much really known about. Pretty cool tho.

Skoda already is a Czechoslovak designer, if you want a unique Hungarian tank designer Weiss Manfred is better. And it DID design the Turán I.
Skoda was Czech ya but they do go hand in hand when it comes to some of the axis tank designs. Hell the Germans even used the LTvz 38t. So its really not that surprising that skoda might have had some assistance with the creation of the Turan and carry over to Hungary initially until Manfred takes over with its designs. Also can you please show me a source that Manfred designed the original since the premise was built off the Skoda t-21. I ain't an expert I'm just reading what its telling me.
