I might be really really stupid, but I have had to restart the tutorial from scratch several times because I put down tracks where they don't work and then I cannot delete them. Can you really not delete items you place in this game, or is it just a really stupid design decision (just like the lack of a save function in the tutorial!!!) to not teach us how to actually remove stuff???

You can't use the bulldoze tool in the tutorial, no idea why.

I do miss an undo button, if I accidentally delete something I didn't want to the only way to recover is reloading the save, right? Or did I miss something?

Seriously? I was able to use it in the tutorial (and I used it very often because of the metro). But an undo button would be a very nice addition, I agree.
Well, to be honest, I don't remember if it was unlocked during the tutorial, but I'm certain I wasn't able to use it at the beginning, while building the tram tracks.

The bulldozer in the tutorial works for the metro - but it doesn't give you any money back - I burnt 200m in loans building the metro for that. IIRC the bulldozer is disabled for the tram build - no idea why - which is really annoying since the way tram track laying works is different to CiM1 and it's incredibly easy to screw it up. If you get fed up just borrow a load of money and try again in a different area.

Yes, I've left the tutorial only because I made mistakes and wasn't able to buildoze them. I actually wanted to build my 2-lane tram and didn't realize I was on a one way street.

It's not so much, but being allowed to bulldoze in the tutorial can probably help making people's first gaming experience more positive.


If you're scared people delete roads by mistake instead of stations or tram tracks, then add as one of the first steps in the tutorial an explanation on how using bulldozer.

I'm disappointed there's no resell value in unprofitable metro and tram tracks. I blew 50,000 on a metro line because I didn't know I wouldn't get any money back.

That's a good point as well. I had to pay to remove the tracks that I accidentally laid. They should have SOME value when I remove them. I understand for certain objects, but the steel tracks can be reused or resold in real life. This could also help us if we've run out of money, we can start pulling up unprofitable tram lines for extra revenue.
