How do you use the no time limit patch(the one originally for HOI)? What file would I identify to patch?

Browse your way to your HoI2 folder and select hoi2.exe
If you get an error message saying "NO bytes were written" you either:
1. Ran it directly from a zip (not doable) or:
2. Have already patched it.
Personally those are the two only reasons it hasn't worked for me over the years
