Hello there. Excuse me if this is a game feature, but I perceived to be a bug.

I have started a new game with the latest version of the game and all DLCs on apart from Horse Lords. I am playing as William the Conqueror, fighting off the Danish/Norwegian coalition.
The problem: I defeated a sizable army of theirs, leaving no survivors. Even though enemy army wings were led by noble men (including the king himself), I had no captives at the end of battle. Something like this just happened to me for the third time in a row and I distinctly remember cases like this being quite rare in earlier instances of the game.

Thoughts? Similar experiences?

Capturing enemy commanders has always been a random thing.

Thanks for the input richvh. You know, I usually ascribed the seeming randomness to the fact that enemy general could escape via enemy/neutral neighbouring provinces, but in this case, with no enemy ships or friendly provinces to flee to, it's just plain ridiculous. Zero survivors should actually mean zero survivors.

Capturing/killing enemy commanders is by event. If the events don't fire, the commanders are neither killed nor captured.

Feel free to post a suggestion in the Suggestions sub-forum for commanders to be killed/captured if the unit is completely destroyed under thus and such conditions.
