Ok here's what I found - I am using Headphones connected on a USB port. As previously stated since I bought yesterday Stellaris haven't had any sound and still haven't played this game.

Now I tried and disconnected my headphones and used my monitor speakers (that are awful btw) and using the monitor sound does work.

Is there a way for me to enable sound with the USB headphones?

You probably need to tell Windows to use the USB headset as it's audio-out device.

USB headsets are recognised by windows as an additional sound-card and windows can only output to one sound-card at at time.
