(SOLVED)
Hey
So i have been trying to play stellaris multiplayer with a few friends and have managed to join there games as long as i get the server id from him and join that way however whenever i try and host a game it never shows a server ID with the only difference being i own utopia.
We arent running any mods just vanilla stellaris and our checksums are the same as we have managed to play while he hosts.
Some of the things i have tried to fix the problem :
- Added the port forwarding from the steam help page
- turned upnp on through my router
- gave full permission to stellaris through my firewall
- turned my firewall off entirely
- Checked we were both on the same steam download region
- fully deleted my game and all files from my documents and reinstalled
at this point im open to any suggestions
The solution :
Close space engineers dedicated server in task manager apparently medieval engineers can cause the same problem just incase anyone comes across this issue.
