You focus on single thing to make sure that it works properly, actually.

Those who wish to continue the discussion of the historical role of the various ship classes and their tactical differences can take the discussion over to the History Forum where the discussion properly belongs. As for the game, submarines, aircraft carriers and pre-Dreads are not currently modelled in game. Should Paradox decide to change this in the future they will no doubt announce it.
