Ok, so i am a total noob, so sorry if this question is dumb. in www when he reoranizd his armies and sent them to the Chinese front, many of that army where on the main land and they simply jumped into the water and swam to the front...are there transports in hoi4?
How did that mechanic work?

It is automated now. They will use up convoys of your nation and presumably if you don't have enough you can't cross the waters.

It is a great addition to HOI4, because ever other HOI game has suffered from the AI not being able to manage transports very well and therefor naval invasions have always been rather "lackluster"

also one of my worst micromanagement nightmares is playing japan in hoi3. Although i made a save game eventually to skip that phase, sending boats to every little island, selecting the garrison and loading them onto it, and then ferrying it over to pick up the next garrison, and bringing them all back. Then fiddling around with their brigade composition one by one was an absolute pain. the part i didnt like was also setting up the OOB, i liked the OOB after it was done though.

all this was for garrison units i wouldn't touch for the rest of the game unless i accidentally loaded them onto a transport later.

so overall i'm really glad transports are gone because of how simple it is to do in HOI4. being able to modify a template for all the garrison units and being able to just right click them to where i want them to go and have convoys ship them is awesome.

Or have several templates for garrison units based on terrain and expected opposition in different regions, in order to conserve the more "expensive" equipment. Japan was continually detaching parts of divisions and forming a variety of special divisions, independent brigades or other formations. Garrisons to deal with Chinese combat units would be different from those only managing unrest and those different from port garrisons positioned to block invasion. And then there are the single battalions stuck alone on some tropical "paradise" to show the flag and offer token resistance to force the enemy to stage an invasion rather than a transport move.

Transports in HoI III actually were the sole reason i never enjoyed playing the USA or Japan in HoI III. I am glad that they got rid of them, not only because it reduces unnessesary tedious micromanagment, but also because it GREATLY helps out the AI, which now can do propper naval invasions.

I like the compromise that you can simply give a move order and they autmaticly ship themself to their friendly destination (can be intercepted!) and that naval invasions actually take quiet some time to plan out before you can execute them and that the complexity also affects the planning time. You might be able to plan the island hopping in a few days, but something like d-day would take several months of planning.

They don't swim, they are on ships ;)

The AK and AP (cargo and passenger naval transport ships) are from your pool of convoy ships, rather than separately produced equipment. When you want them, the AI helps the player by getting them from the pool, moving them to a suitable port, loading the Divs etc.

This is a quality of life for the player thing, to avoid tedious micro when moving your forces around, particularly for Japan, UK and USA. It's nothing to do with making it easier for AI countries to do invasions.
