No music?

Hi,

I just bought the via Impulse and started playing (got hooked kind of like HOI2 but more hooked ).

Then it hit me I havent heard any music? (Volume is on full it is not just playing the files?)

I had the demo but it was uninstalled day before,

I have SB audigy 2 (or something), never had this problem before?

Waiting for some response then, but all else failed I have to uninstall -> reinstall

PS. I have never had problems with sound or music before

Hmmm.. I was thinking of picking this up on Impulse as well. $9.99 for both Rome and Vae Victis? Whoa!

Never bought a game via Steam/DtoD/Impulse/etc.. I've also noticed you haven't registered Rome/VV in your forum avatar. Does the Impulse version not allow this?

Hope you can get the music issue sorted. I assume you can still hear other sound effects, no? (clicks, etc.)

Impulse

Impulse is cool, no DRM and it works well.

I payed the full price btw... thought about yelling that I missed one day but hey its for the good cause.

It is possible to register and I am going to but right now I am reinstalling trying to get the music working, hope I dont have to bother the Paradox guys, because they should be working 14h days to get HOI3 ready for action.

Roger that. Good to hear some positive stuff regarding Impulse. I perused their forums and saw a few posts about the "slowness" of Impulse and was hoping that it wasn't some DRM stuff lingering 24/7 in the background after installation.

Let us know how the re-install went regarding the music. Incidentally, is there a /SOUNDS folder in your installation folder for EU:R? Do a quick search for .WAV or .MP3 files in the installation folder. If no music files exist, the problem is with the source (i.e., Impulse) not supplying them in the download.

Impulse aint the fastest program (to load anyway) but its stable and works quite well.

Music still is not working (I tried Vanilla rome first and same problem), no /sounds folder I got /sound (the effect sounds) and /music (music files).
I tried playing the music files and they worked fine (damn nice songs ).

I was wondering that should there be a txt files and the folder kind of like in the Hearts of Iron 2?

The solution to this problem must be something really simple. I left a message to Impulse forums as well is someone would have run into similar problems, no replies yet.
